Where it is

The district runs south from the edge of Uptown to the area around Romany Road, between the South End rail corridor on the west and Kenilworth Avenue on the east. The main streets inside it, from the county’s thoroughfare map, are East Boulevard, East Tremont Avenue, Euclid Avenue, Romany Road and East Park Avenue, with a short piece of Park Road. South End is next door to the west and Myers Park is to the southeast.

Historic district rules. Because Dilworth is a local historic district, exterior changes such as additions, new windows and demolitions need a certificate of appropriateness from the city’s Historic District Commission. More in our building permits and zoning guide.

Schools

Dilworth is in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. All 1,315 parcels inside the district are zoned for the same three schools in the 2026-27 feeder boundary data that Mecklenburg County publishes for CMS. Scores are the share of state tests at grade level in 2025-26 and the school’s growth rating, from the state’s accountability data.

Level School 2025-26 at grade level Growth
Elementary Dilworth Elementary, Latta Campus, 405 E. Park Ave. 88.4% Not met
Middle Sedgefield Middle, 2700 Dorchester Place 60.6% Not met
High Myers Park High, 2400 Colony Road 67.8% Exceeded
