Charlotte’s wing places are spread across the city, not packed on one strip. The biggest local chain, Chex Grill and Wings, has 10 Charlotte stores from Uptown to University City; others sit on Freedom Drive and West Boulevard west of Uptown, near Carowinds and in SouthPark and Ballantyne.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside the Charlotte city limits, the same records behind our local business directory, checked against each place’s own website on 2026-10-12. Duckworth’s was added from its own locations page. We left out places whose sites do not list a Charlotte location (Wild Wing Cafe) and national chains whose location pages would not load for us (Buffalo Wild Wings, Wingstop). Breweries the map data tagged for food are not listed unless their menus name wings. The list is alphabetical; it is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. The places

Bossy Beulah’s. A fried chicken shack from Jim Noble’s restaurant group, with all-natural chicken sandwiches and wings. The first location is on Freedom Drive; the others are at the Bowl at Ballantyne and on Brandywine Road near Park Road Shopping Center. It also caters.

Chex Grill and Wings. A wings, burgers and grill chain with 23 stores in three states, 10 of them in Charlotte, from South Tryon Street in Uptown to East McCullough Drive near UNC Charlotte. Its site has online ordering, catering and a rewards program.

Duckworth’s Grill and Taphouse. A grill and taphouse with a beer list for each location, in Uptown, at Piedmont Row in SouthPark and at Rea Farms. Wings are on the appetizer menu, the full menu is served until closing, and it takes reservations Monday to Thursday.

East Coast Wings + Grill, 9711 Northlake Centre Parkway. A wing chain restaurant near Northlake Mall with pickup, delivery, curbside and catering.
